I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
